A wedding gift with the words in it
For the couple, or for the person you're marrying. A wedding day goes past in a blur; the morning after is when they read things. Gather the photos, the wishes and a song into something they can open then — and every year that follows.
What to write
If it's for the couple: one memory of each of them, and one line about the two of them together that you'd never say in a speech. If it's for your partner, written the night before: what you're thinking about, and what you promise. The Toast raises a glass; Front Page prints them on the cover of their own paper.
What to add
Photos from before they met and from the years since — Our Timeline sets them along a road, Museum hangs them in rooms. The song from the first dance if you know it: thirty seconds of the real recording wait at the end, a tap away. For a gift to your partner, a voice message is the thing they'll keep coming back to.
When to send it
Print the QR card and tuck it inside the real card, so it's opened with the rest. Or schedule it for the morning after, when the phones come out and the day is being relived. A gift to your partner can be timed for the hour before the ceremony, when they're alone with their phone.
Questions people ask
Can guests contribute?
One person makes each gift. If several of you want in, make one each — the couple gets a set — or gather the lines by message first and put them in one gift together.
Does the QR card work without an app?
Yes. The phone camera reads it and opens the gift in the browser. It works on iPhone and Android, and the link on the card stays live.
Will it still be there next year?
Yes. Links are meant to be permanent, so it can be opened again on the next one and the one after. If you spot a typo after sending, edit it and the change goes live at the same link.
